As CEO of ChangeWell, Inc., a San Diego–based training organization, he develops live and online education for healthcare professionals nationwide. He co-founded the Vagus Nerve Society with Peter Staats, MD, to train practitioners in modalities that enhance parasympathetic tone and reduce inflammation through neural pathways.

He has since directed strategic initiatives for A4M, consulted for AMWC, and authored or co-authored twelve books, most recently Feed Your Skin Right, Second Edition.
As the episode's host, Dr. Tager introduces the science of the vagus nerve and its role in shifting the body out of constant stimulation and into rest and recovery.
"For health and healing, the body needs to turn down the stimulation. To rest, relax, and restore. This is the role of the vagus nerve, the master communicator of peace in the body."
