Anjali Noble, DO, FACOI, FAARFM takes a patient-centered, functional medicine approach to uncovering why the body loses its vibrant health, evaluating each patient's environment, genetics, and overall well-being rather than simply treating symptoms. She founded the Noble Center for Healthy Aging to bring root-cause-focused care to a broader community and to help others avoid the kind of isolating suffering she knew too well herself.
Board certified in internal medicine with additional training in functional, naturopathic, and public health/preventive medicine, Dr. Noble treats a wide range of conditions, including autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, thyroid and hormonal disorders, chronic pain, and stress-related conditions, with the goal of helping patients find their way back to health and vitality.
In this episode, Dr. Noble describes treating a patient named David — dismissed by others as "crazy" — using binders and nasal bacteria testing to help him identify and escape his mold exposure. She also speaks to treating college students whose mold-contaminated dorms cause both physical symptoms and depression.
"I have many college students who come in with crazy symptoms, and many times it's because of mold in their dorms. A lot of these young people are suffering, and many times they're losing hope — they're depressed, they don't understand what's wrong with them. We get them better, we get them out of exposure, and we're basically saving lives."
